Funerals
A True Celebration of Life
A service as unique as your loved one
Every person is different and their funeral should be unique. I will meet with you to discuss the ceremony fully to plan it and make it perfect. You will be able to check the ceremony content beforehand, and I will offer you a full text of the ceremony to keep afterwards, should you want it. The ceremony will capture the very essence of the person and tell the story of the life that has been lived, made to be personal and special.
What is important to realise, is that nothing is an obligation in a funeral – you don’t need prayers, closing curtains, formal abrasive wording etc if you don’t want to! You don’t even need to include a committal or farewell if you don’t want to! Absolutely everything that takes place can be guided by you to ensure we reflect your family and the person you’ve lost appropriately and meaningfully.
I can offer a completely non religious celebration of life ceremony, or if you would like to include a hymn or a prayer I am happy to do that too. Talk to me about your wishes and I will do whatever I can to make the funeral as bespoke and personal as possible.
Poems
Poems can bring a personal and reflective moment to any funeral
Committals
Taking place at the end of the service, these special words form a final goodbye
Songs
Songs can be any genre from any time period. I encourage families to chose music that truly represents their loved one; often holding significant meaning.
- Entry music ~ Arrival to the service.
- Reflection music ~ Allows guests time to remember their loved one in their own way.
- Exit music ~ A final, personal, farewell.
Hymns & Prayers
As a secular celebrant I am still more than happy to include hymns & prayers in my services.
I am here to help you create the service that includes all of the elements that honour your loved one.
